Hey guys. I've got a 54 corner bow front aquarium. It's been stored for about 5-6 years in my garage due to me going through college and not being able to handle the reef during school and work. I'm nervous that the silicone has rotted but, am not sure on the signs of bad sillicone. I'm just waiting on the weather here in MN to warm up and I plan on setting the tank up and filling it with water before I start the final setup in the house. Any suggestions or things to watch for when I start? Thanks in advance!!

Is your garage heated? I know the hot/cold temp changes up here can cause issues with the silicone. I'd say fill it up and see if it leaks... outside.

unfortunatly no the garage wasn't heated. The tank appears to be good. I'm definately gonna fill it outside let it sit for a couple days and see if it has any pinholes. Resiliconing a tank with aquarium safe silicone easy or not reccomended? Should I HAVE to.
