Dry triton additives

Can anyone tell me how to dose the newer dry triton additives, are we supposed to mix the dry with water then dose or just add the dry to the tank. For example my test says to dose 35.78 grams the first day then 24.67 the next day of the dry potassium, I realize it says grams which would make me think to add just the dry, but I can’t find any confirmation on this.

It does not specifically say to mix but the Sulphate instructions says to "Dose into an area of high flow", so I would assume straight powder.

With one exception (dry mix of alk and calcium), it is always best to dissolve solid additives in water before dosing.

That’s one way. Most folks make a stock solution of known potency for dosing when needed.

Of what? Using what? What is your current value and what value are you targeting?

My icp test said my potassium level is 379 ppm and to dose a corrective dose of about 42 grams of there dry to get it within or around 400ppm, but there is no info on making a solution to dose to keep it up, after a few months my levels seems to always drop.
I use Tropic Marin classic salt mix

Do you have a product in hand? If not, look for food grade potassium chloride. I herb/now foods is a common brand.

OK, I see my confusion. You already know the product and the amount needed. You can dissolve it in any amount of RO/DI you want.

No one can tell you how much, if any, is needed to maintain it. My tank needed none. You can only determine that by doing another test in the future.

How do you know that you salinity is not just a bit low and raising it will correct the potassium? DId triton give a salinity?

Yes it was 32.13psu a bit low

Raise it and potassium will be above normal (at 35 ppt it will be 413 ppm). No need to dose anything.
