DSA 175g Peninsula build

Here's some of the new additions.
The midas has been in QT and just moved to the big tank today. He's already found two roosting spots.

I think I'm done with all the "project" work finally. Spent this morning calibrating the BRS pumps and mixing up some fresh 2 part. Yesterday I picked up a yellow tang and 4 additional blue gudgeon goby's to go along with the one I've got in the tank. They're in QT right now and luckily all are eating very well and are very active. Now to sit back and watch stuff grow and figure out what fish to buy next!

Looks good!

Favorite fish! Good luck!

Thanks...I really got lucky. Another reefer here in town bought 3 assuming he might lose one in QT. To his surprise all 3 did very well and I got a great deal on him.

I ended up buying a 3rd Wav to add to the other two and replace the gyre. The only real reason was for easier programming. With the original set up any time I wanted to make changes I had to program both separately. With the wav's it's much easier to program and sync or anti-sync them. I've got them set on the Maverick mode. Neptune describes this as "A high energy flow mode with random small and large changes in intensity such as is typical of a reef".

I noticed this cool effect the other day when the light started ramping down. Just saw it again and grabbed the camera. They're about 12% and almost all blues.

Well...another case of ich struck. :-(

I lost the achilles, midas and clowns even though I was able to catch them and put in QT and started treating them.

I've decided to go in a new direction. The blue gudgeons and chromis never showed a single sign of ich at all! The chromis even survived the outbreak back in Dec. I'm going to stick with smaller fish. I'd read an article about how it's a more natural environment and SPS respond better...so we'll see. Yesterday I picked up 5 blue reef chromis and am thinking about some black bar chromis and a few more blue gudgeons.

Regarding ich... for me helped Aquaforest Fish V and Garlic oil. I dose it directly to food and seems that thing really boosts fish immune system
