I just got home about 15 minutes ago. I've been out of town the last 5 days. I'll get a pic when the lights come on tomorrow. I can see some new growth under the blues though
....I also see a mess of algae

So after being gone for 5 days, this is what I come home to.
Plenty of cyano creeping around...
Rock flower anemone touching Acanthophyllia? Doesn't seem to be stinging it...yet.
Everything seems happy though

Task of the day...remove cyano. New water mixing now, I will probably end up siphoning the top layer of sand to get it. Then manually removing from corals. I then have to get better with my upkeep if I want to conquer it.

I think cyano is a small price to pay. You've got nutrients in there. The corals love it and look great. I just love your monti set. I want mine to look that way!

50 excessive? Little submarines all arrived alive. Hopefully they help turn the sand up.

Super glue gel wasn't working for the large pieces so I used aquastick epoxy. It's more sturdy.

Went hard on the water pour 
hopefully it didn't stir up too much funk. Smoothed the sand and blew off the corals. Didn't get all the cyano off, but figure I'll hit it again in a couple days. It has sat so long, I think multiple small changes will be better than one large.

Do plate corals get along? I woke up to my new purple plate coral touching my smaller orange one. The orange one looked very puffy and its tentacles looked different. Can you tell if it's being stung? At work now, so I'm curious how it'll look when I get home.

They are friends now! The initial puffiness of the orange one was odd, but all is normal now. Haven't seen it like that since.
Holy growth and color Batman! Are you feeding those corals anabolics??Looking through some old pics, I cropped these to check the growth.

Between that timeframe, I probably did 3 water changes. I need to buy a doser, or change water more. I could probably get better growth. I'm not complaining though, I can see the difference

I finally ordered a second mount for my current USA lights. I think it will look much better once installed. I was tired of the leaning light look.
I've also got about 20 frags on order that I'll have shipped after the holidays. I don't know where I'm going to put them!! With those new frags is a number of more SPS. I think it's time to buy a doser. Any recommendations?

I know this is strange, but all of my plates move to be with each other. They always want to touch. I'm thinking it's because of their ability to sexually reproduce? Just a guess.

That's a good thought. I didn't think about that, it makes sense. It actually moved a few inches, which surprised me.
