DT safe to add fish?

So should I re dose every two days or so? Or just follow the every 3 days direction?

Here's the little guys living quarters for the past 5 days. Is this tiny amount of rock okay? He never leaves it so I didn't want to yank it out. It was dry rock rubble that I washed before putting in.

I haven't been able to get a great look at his whole body since he stays in his little area. In the next couple of days I plan on moving the rocks a bit so I can see his sides. It has been about five days now, and he eats like a pig. He will rip the food from the pipette.
