Dt tank water for qt

so I did a 20 gallon water change yesterday, and saved the water in a Rubbermaid.

I didn’t siphon the bottom, just pulled the water from middle of tank.

Can I use the water for tank transfer , which I will start in two days?

Not sure if any microscopic organisms such as food particles would rot and turn into ammonia. Nothing visible to the eye.

Should be because you’ll be transferring again before ammonia can build up. You just need to be sure you don’t have any parasites in the DT

That’s what I’m saying, it will be a few days before I use it, do any uneaten particles turn into ammoni?

What I’ve done in the past is pour it into the QT through a filter sock to catch any particles
