Due to space constraints, I need to use two auto top off reservoirs. Am I better off having both feed into the sump directly, or one feeding into the sump, and the other feeding into the primary reservoir? I have the option to have them either stacked one above the other, or side by side. Side by side seems like the better option, especially since I can use a siphon to keep the secondary refiling the primary. Anyone have a similar situation or have any recommendations?

If you can have them side to side, would you consider drilling a bulkhead or uniseal to connect them? Then they will act as one ATO reservoir and you can have one ato unit.

Yes, its possible

Why would 1 not work if you can use 2 that would equal the same size? For instance, (2) 5 gallon ATOs being the same size as (1) 10 gallon. Assuming the side by side scenario.

The gf doesnt want them visible, so they need to be in cabinetry, and I wasnt able to find any that would be big enough to fit the space and match the decor. So we I went with two smaller cabinets on either side of the tank. Neither of which is able to hold a large enough reservoir for the two weeks evaporation I'm looking to off set.
