Hey, I have a few quick questions about plumbing a new tank. It is a 300gal tank with dual Reef Savvy Ghost Overflows. I am planning on doing bean animal plumbing in each one.

Question:

Can you combine the siphons into single pipe before it hits the sump so they can be tuned in unison with a single gate valve?

Similarly can you do that with the passive drains as well?

The siphon drain line needs to be just below the water level of the sump, correct?

Thanks for the insight. This tank is being plumbed through a wall and into a separate "Fish Room" so I am trying to limit the number of holes and pipes I have to run.

Thanks

The secondary and emergency lines can be plumbed together, as long as the single pipe they join is big enough. The primary/full siphon I wouldn’t recommend. Would certainly be much more finicky, harder to purge/prime, and you will find it harder to get both heights balanced for somewhat equal flow

With that said, think you should go with a single overflow that’s large enough

It's a custom tank built by Reef Savvy for 2 ghost overflows. Already drilled and everything. 2 separate lines are fine with me if that is what will cause the least issues.

+1 for keeping siphon lines separate. Tie the durso and emergencies together if you like.

You think it would be a good move to step up from 1" to 1.5" at the T connecting them?
