Icecap modules are overpriced simple IC's. I still think we're going to see the ICV6 <> Apex connectivity within the next 6 months, that should bring gyre support with it.

I have one icecap 3k on my 75 and I can't seem to find a spot and setting where it's not making the opposite end sand bed really low.

Part of the issue I assume is it being on the same side as my return line (which I havent had a chance to rerun yet) I also cant tell if its micro bubbles or sand lol

Sorry for crappy pics but I havent practiced photography yet haha.

I have 2 maxspect gyre's running on opposite side of the tank at %50 on the lunar mode.

What's lunar mode?

On the newer gyres and controllers there is the lunar mode that pulse less the the title mode. I had a hard time setting up mine and you like to customize mine more. Programming buy pushing button make it real hard and once Maxspect comes up with a wifi model of the controller I think that will be a winner for all:)

I run 2 gyre XF250’s in my 5’ 108 gallon on OTC AT 50% max.

I run mine about 3” from the top, just low enough that they are not sucking air.

Not sure how much you have in the tank but I would focus on the flow and corals and let the nem find it’s new happy place.

I'm glad you posted this. I was just about to go searching for people with 5' tanks and two xf250's :) I've read so many build threads I forget to just go look at yours. Are you aiming the cages towards the surface as well?

on my 93 cube, I run them facing each other a little off-set, i.e. not directly in front of one another. They run on alternating, manual gradual pulsing mode at 30% on one side and as the one pump ramps down the other pump ramps up to 20%. Antyhing higher than this would splash water over the side.

Cages are in the straight forward position.

Also easy to install them upside down and make a serious sand storm!

The QC sticker should be on top At least that is how mine came.

No sand for me! Thanks again for the tips!

I replaced my Ecotech Marine MP40W QD wireless with two 230's a year ago and ran OTC at a low setting but about 2 weeks ago switched them to L.T.C. but the BTA's seem to do well. I really do not know exactly what to set at. I'm definitely going to watch the video in this thread and I am looking forward to dialing in as suggested. They are going from 10 to 40 randomly.

Great thread here. Yet another reason to be a part of such a great forum and the good folks here. :)

@pelphrey are you still using those settings under your gyre tab on your site? I'm adding a second xf330 to my current one and hope to get some flow that you have in your video on that webpage. Great tutorial, appreciate the video.

I’ve been using Tunze pumps for about a year now!

Ooh gottcha. I havent placed my pump order yet since its sunday anyway. I've been really back and forth about a second gyre or adding a 6095 or 6105 instead to my 3 ft 75. How do you feel about the new pumps to your old set up?
