Pretty straightforward as the title suggests, I’m new to sump plumbing and I have 2 drains and 2 returns. My drains are 1-1/2” drains and I bought two Maggie mufflers. At what height should I put these at? Should I have the very top of the Maggie muffler cap be sitting at the very top of the overflow box? Should I have it down some? Should both drains with the Maggie mufflers be same height or should one sit lower than the other? Noob question I know, trying to get a good understanding of it all.

Picture for reference, this is just a factory 2’ piece of pipe from BRS the muffler is sitting on. Nothing has been cut or glued yet. I know as it sits in the picture that’s way too high

The small cap that fits on top of the maggie muffler should be lower than the bottom of the slots on the overflow. Nothing needs to be glued with this setup.

Maggie Mufflers do not handle a lot of flow, since you have two, I hope you have DC pump for a return, it is so much easier to dial it in.

Let everyone know how your setup is working.
I definitely will, I still have at least a month before I get water in the tank and test out the plumbing and begin the cycle. Just been having a heck of a time finding any info out about those Maggie Mufflers I have.

I have increased my water speed through my tank and my maggie could not handle it, so I removed my small cap and I put a small food container with 2 small holes drilled in the top so it could handle the increased volume, my wife is not complaining anymore.
