Dual overflow 210, each overflow has two -1.5" holes. In every setup I have seen, each overflow contains a drain to the sump and a return line.
I am curious if it is okay to make one overflow completely dedicated to drain (lets say the left overflow) and the other overflow completely dedicated to return lines (lets say right overflow)? Seems like it would be fine, but want to be sure before I proceed that way. Thanks!

My 125 is like this. One is for the drain on each side and the other for the return.

I decided to make one a drain and the other a emergency drain on each side. My return comes over the back of the tank in the middle.

Thought with this is if for some unforseen reason the main drains get blocked, the emergencies would handle the flow. Return at the middle of the tank allows the return water to mix into the DT and not return to the sump right away.

My DT is in our living room and my sump is in the basement. Made my wife feel better about the tank being upstairs. Lol
