Setting up a Nuvo100 INT. Want to use 2 VarioS-2 for a turnover of between 3 and 5 per hour. Tank is drilled for one 3/4" return line, so 2 separate lines are no-go. I'm thinking 2 check valves on a y-connection are my only option, but will one 3/4" pipe have sufficient capacity to handle the upflow from two separate 3/4" lines at 792 (max rated) gph?

Thanks for suggestion, but I'm trying to get away from coming over the back of my tanks.

Go over the back.

You're not going to find a combination of plumbing two pumps to one hole that isn't less reliable than just running one pump.

The two check valve situation will almost certainly fail, and your one remaining pump will pump water up to the Y, then back down through the other pump.

Point taken. Maybe just holding one in reserve is the better solution. I note that you don't seem to have much faith in check valves.

I agree with this. If you only have one return line, just put the second pump on your shelf for an emergency.
