Dual Reactor or separate

Was looking tomorrow getting a brs media dual reactor and hiking it to a manifold. I got a friend who said he had little success with one. What is your experience with one. Should i just get them separate?

Separate. For carbon, I cut a 2L bottle and attach it to the sump with a strong magnet “octoaquatics”. From there, I simply place the carbon in a media bag, and filter water from the top and out the bottom. Makes life so much easier. My reactor is left collecting dust somewhere.
With GFO, assuming you actually need it, yea I’d run it through a reactor.
