Dumb question about blues

there is a reason every website is blue, Facebook, LinkedIn, ect. i used to sell a healthcare IT product that used that scheme too. the reason is as we age blue remains one of the colors we can see best. i don't think you'll have an issue. maybe build a hood
I don't think you understand.

A middle of the road light that has good controls for each color in the spectrum is the noo-psyche 7. Price is $200. I have 3 on a125 gallon tank which is more than adequate. You may be able to get by with just one, at least for a while, if you don't have a lot of sps corals

I've been suggested that two on a 75 gallon would be sufficient. However, that's $400. Also, I have a 1990's Oceanic with the thick wooden trim and I don't want to DIY *another* thing. I was just going to get a hanging fluorescent fixture I've decided.

Those Hydroponic fixture or any fixture not specifically made for Aquariums will show signs of rust eventually. Trust me, 1st hand experience…
at the very least you will have to DIY somewhat and break out another coat of Rustoleum on that thing…
BTW you can grow corals on 6500K, I’ve done it, they just don’t look so hot, expect brown to dominate

If budget is a constraint; suggest Vivosun 4-6 bulb fixture and maybe at least 1 “blue” specialty bulb… I wouldn’t expect a long service life however…
