My magnesium is up a little. Everything else looks normal. Also, my live rock had bubbles. ???

Ok y’all. I have done reading and figured out that the bubbles on my live rock are probably related to algae bloom. My question is how do I know the difference between red algae and coralline. I have removed some of the algae from rock and coral with a toothbrush. It removes easily and clumps for quick removal. There is also some crimson red
Growing on the trunk of a frogspawn and on live rock. It will not brush off and has a more calcified look. There are little red spots starting to grow on some areas of the glass wall that are pretty difficult to remove. Algae or coralline?

The stuff that comes off easily is cyano, it will simply blow off using a turkey baster.

I would say the other stuff sounds like coralline

Also cyano normally traps micro bubbles which accumulates into bigger bubbles but some algae’s can also do that

That’s what I was thinking but wanted someone else’s opinion. I’m kind of new to this. Thank you very much.

No probs
Just remove all the cyano and keep ontop of it. It should eventually stop as long as nutrients are kept in check

Pics help. Coraline basically stays on like paint, needs scraped off to remove. Its usually light purple, purple, or red. Cyno is reddish/brown and acts like a gross blanket that comes up easily. Get rid of it.
