Dummies guide too photography

I don't take that good of pictures on my phone but I would recommend taking the picture while the lights are on white. When I do that they turn out more clear and the colors show up more

Anyone got any tips for taking photos using a mobile phone apart from point and shoot lol, settings etc

Crank up all lights/colors to 100%. 150W is nothing in photography. Add more light if possible.
Turn off all pumps/powerheads.
Turn off room lights - they may cause reflections on the glass.
Get a tripod and use the timer so your hands don't shake up the image.
Get pro level camera apps like Halide + Darkroom. They give you more control of color temperature.
Manage expectations.

Use the pro setting on your phone camera app if you have one and play with white balance until you find what you like.. i keep mine at 10000K. For other settings like temp, tint, saturation, etc i keep mine at default. or alternatively, use better camera apps like MaxxuM said.

Thankyou for your replies, I,ve just added my first cuc and wanted to take some nice photos ( when they come out of hiding lol ). I will have a play today
