Duncan acting funny

Howdy,

My Duncan has been in the same spot in my tank for about a year now.. all of a sudden it's appearing more and more closed. I've inspected the coral multiple times to check for any works or irritating vermetid snails... I have a lot unfortunately

My water parameters are in check.

Alk 8.5
Ca 410
Nitrate 2-10
Phosphate .02-.08
Salinity 1.025 / 1.026

I'm wondering if it's somehow getting different flow patterns ? Or maybe just something I'm not seeing ? All my other corals are in tip top shape

IME, Duncan can be stupid and moody sometimes. Mine closed for almost a week for no reason then opened all the way up and popped out 5 new heads. Give it some time

I'm just nervous and don't wanna lose it was beautiful when it was opened

Just keep watching it for parasites/ signs of infection or disease. Post again if you see any signs of this but my Duncan’s were just moody

give it some time

When I let my phosphates get too high, Duncan’s were the first to get fussy. Keep testing phosphates carefully and bring them down if so.

Now that I think of it my hammer is not as large as usual either..

Another closeup of Duncan.. what are these corals most effected by parameter wise

They always do and have but she is much bigger now

Good to know...your Duncan isn’t being haunted ;Hilarious All I had was an over loving clownfish. Maybe they’re just going through a funk...hope they pull out of it!
