Do you find your corals grow faster after taking them off plug and gluing them down on rock?

If you're inquiring about duncans growth, in my experience they need to be fed directly. As far as growing better off the plug I haven't seen a difference.

My issue is I have had 2 duncan heads for 3 months and just keep getting bigger but not producing more heads, theyre like 3" heads right now

Agree. Don’t think they are smart enough to know the diff between a rock or a plug. Low on the food chain.

Makes no difference for me. Water quality and feeding plays more importance

I was thinking maybe after encrusting the plug and being in the sand they feel they don't have as much room to multiply, so they just grow the heads larger. Idk??

Water quality has always been more than acceptable. I just don't know why the heads are getting huge, but they're not multiplying

They can. If fed well, they can get to size of the old silver dollar
