My Duncan won’t open for about a week now only a little bit, so I had moved it to low flow area also noticed some of my hammer arms are starting to look burnt or something I’m not sure. Temp is constant 77.5, alkalinity is 10.5-10.9, phosphates are .10 ppm, nitrate are 5 ppm I use instant ocean and do a water change every 2 weeks sometime every week. I am new in the hobby tank up and running about 2.5 months

What is your salinity?

How long do you leave your lights on?

Duncan doesn't look good at all and unfortunately may not recover.

My salinity is 1.024, I leave my lights on for about 10 hours. The Duncan still has all its benificial algae on the outside I’m hoping that the move to lower flow will help. I guess we shall see in the morning.

Do you change filter and do water change at the same time?

Watch that shrimp

Yea he’s getting really big, I think I may need to get him out, doesn’t really seem to bother fish or other inverts that much but still don’t wanna take a chance. Is that what you were implying ? Btw union brother here local 15 out of nyc. Solidarity union proud.

I have filter floss I change every week, I’ll rinse my biological in the old saltwater i take out of the tank and clean the Powerhead. So yea I do them at the same time. I run a fuge too in the back compartment.

He’s starting to come out a bit, today I plan on doing a big water change to also see if that helps
