Hey, guys i need help with my Duncan Coral. It has about 15 heads
Its been closed up for about 2 weeks.
Today the mouths were open completely and some brown jelly was coming out of it for some reason.

I dipped it to see if it gets better.

Also... ever since ive had the colony its had this Red, smooth, Hard, something growing from it.
not sure if its part of the coral or something else.. i cant identify it. does not look like a Sponge.

all my other corals are looking good besides a Frogspawn thats also giving me issues.

You say jelly, be careful with that one. Depending on what it looked like, how thick it was, etc. It could just be slime from them, as they slime up like "Brown Jelly" but no where to the severity of what "Brown Jelly" actually is. I have noticed in moving frags from my huge colony, that if moved to a new tank, they close most of the way up if the lighting is to high. Usually takes a few days for them to feel the "burn" so to speak and close up. I would suggest going through the article @Flippers4pups posted, and looking at pics on google. I have been threw brown jelly on duncans and it usually eats at the crowns of each stalk (if that is whats it called, the meat right around the edge of the stalk, by the head), and 2 weeks is a long time for them to still have color on the stalk and what we can see of the head if they have that issue.

Edit: Nutrients need to come up with alk at 9.5, at least for most LPS. They like it a little on the dirty side anywhere above about 8.

As for the frogspawn, whats the deal with it?
