Duncan coral - Bit off more than it can chew

See below. One of my Duncan heads has eaten something clearly too big for it and I think sharp? It’s been working on regurgitating it for the whole day. It looks to be tearing itself from the inside. Obviosly just have to wait and see. Anyone seen this before? Words of wisdom?

I would attempt to remove it with surgical forceps.

I have a trumpet that looked like it had the exact same thing sticking out!!! Just last night, I'll find a picture. It was sticking out, but it would go in, and come back out and just stick out like that. I have NO IDEA

I didn’t get notified of these responses so apologies for the delay! I never figured out what it ate but it took about 2-3 days. It definitely cut itself in the process but has since fully recovered!
