A few months ago I bought a nice single polyp Duncan from Koral King here in Gainesville Fl. Within a week I noticed small regularly shaped bumps coming up from the base of the polyp. All polyps have now formed tentacles. Their shape resembles the mother polyp. I’m not certain but it seems that feeding helped to stimulate growth. Several times since the process began, the mother has spent several consecutive days partially closed. I don’t know if the behavior is in any way linked to the new growth. It did seem however that the new polyps increased in size and became more defined during these episodes.

Duncan’s grow super fast for me and I love them, mine also have random days where they will just be closed up but I don’t worry about it. If it closes up for multiple days then it’s something to worry about.
