My parameters are all stable, and everything was fine until yesterday. I saw a small part on my duncan withering away, so I thought monitoring it would be a good idea. The coral was open so I did not think too much about it. This morning the coral did not open, and the hole was bigger. I decided to dip it in some CoralRx, and I did see some small pests come out of the wound. I need help with how to treat this!!

Looks and sounds like a typical Duncan.

My Duncan is the carney in the tank, if anything is wrong the Duncan will be the first to show it.

My Duncan also has an area of exposed skeleton among the polyps, it's really not an issue. Your Duncan looks fine just closed. The coral will open back up and close and open and....

If you want to see growth target feed your Duncan, I feed mine every day when I feed the fish.

Just double check SG, but I do not see an issue, unless a fish is picking at it.

In my experience duncans really have to be fed to thrive long term. They are one of the easiest to feed I simply have placed mine where I normally drop the fish food and just turn that side recirc fan on feed mode. They will grabe and hold onto the food better then most corals.

Thank you so much, maybe a turkey baster or something can also do the trick?

Thanks for the advice, I will pick up some food for it tomorrow when I go to the LFS. My Salinity is 1.024!

I don't know that feeding it will make a huge difference, mine started off as 3 heads and is now the size of a grapefruit. The only food it gets is whatever it catches from me feeding the fish. At least that is what is happening in my tank. It does close up for a couple of days sometimes but always opens back up.

Duncans do close up now and then. Sometimes for weeks. Then when they are ready, they open up again. Sometimes sporting new polyps.
