I've had my Duncan coral for about eight months now. I got it with two heads and it has only grown one more. I feed every day. I've looked online and people started out with one and have a whole colony in only a year. My clownfish like to swim in it are they irritating it? It's in the middle of my tank.

should I move it lower? any tips on how I make it grow faster?

Mine took a while to settle in. Took me moving it 4 or 5 times to find a spot it really like.d

Once I found that spot is when it started growing new heads. Took about a years time.

Is yours fully open in the pic?

I would try moving it. The tentacles should extend much further out.
I keep mine in a low to moderate flow area, and shaded

The tentacles have never been long even when I got it from the Lfs is that bad?

I wouldn't say bad, but I don't think it's exactly "happy"
Is it in a lot of flow? When mine was in to much flow in wouldn't fully extend.

I have some older pictures that I'll post of mine

I'm not at my house right now I'll check when I get home

Started out as 3 heads now at least 15. Had an issue with it and cut at least 10 heads off.

January will be 2 years. Started out with 3 heads. Like you first year it only grew a head or two

I think my main problem with it was it was getting to much flow.
I only feed it once a week, sometimes every other week

I try to once a week, but doesn't always happen. Sometimes I skip a week or two or three

hope I was some help. just try moving it and give it a few weeks to see.how it responds

+1 move it leave a a few days and see if it is more happy. If not try again.

I bought 3 head frag about 5 years ago. I have no idea how many heads are on it now but easily 60 or more. I feed it a few times a week. Mine opens more under med flow.

They can but your's is semi-open. When they are irritated they are more closed up. My clowns go in and out often. It rarely closes. But you need to move it around away.

I don't feed mine and there is like 20+ heads. Find a good spot and you'll be good
