Hey guys!
I’ve had this Duncan coral colony for months now and it was doing great up until about a week ago. Since then it’s been opening up less and less…
The only changes have been a slight alk swing and I cleaned the power heads

I was also worried when looking at parts of the tissue… they seem inflated? Any insights

I would do a Beyer dip and an iodine dip. That should help with the possibility of pests as well as infection.

Most likely due to the alk swing, but better safe than sorry! :)

Here's some info on how I dip. I hope it helps! :)

I would try dipping, but as a secondary option. I only know of flatworms being in my tank and my wrasse has removed them all pretty much. First I will fix this alkalinity swing

Man...pssssshhhh..

How old is your tank?

I tried Duncan's twice, all died...but did it in the 7 months and 1 year mark.

Now.. ??

Bought a small 2 head Duncan 6 months ago,,tank is nearing 2 year mark... thing is large and in charge! Only closed up for a few days because it grew a new head...now it's on 4 heads...and living it's best life!!
