Duncan Coral problem!!

Sometimes they close.
Is that new blue light, different blue light, higher blue light....
Blue itself without change would not be a problem....but if changed.......the coral must reregulate light changes.

It don't get fully close but retract a lot.

Is normal that my duncan coral closed up with blue lights?

I wouldn't say it was abnormal. If it stays closed for long periods of time, that would be odd. But I would be surprised that a blue light would trigger it.

It don't get fully close but retract when I turn off the whites and left only the blues.

That’s because you “changed” the light.
The red/green/white spectrum has been turned off.
Remember what you see as light, is not anywhere what they see.
Nothing wrong with what your doing, but for most of the day, we need a little of the white channel.

I got 10h of blues and 8h of whites, thas good or too much? 11:30am to 7:30pm blues and whites and from 7:30pm to 9:30pm only blues. I'm running a Chinese black box blues at 65% and whites 35%.

That’s just fine, Iam about the same but blue 70% and whites 5%.
The trick is never touching them again......once corals “lock in” to the light source and adjust their photosynthetic process, growth and colour takes off.....but takes a few months of no changes.
