This Duncan is 2 days in our tank. I’d say he is happy but we have a huge shipment of zoas tomorrow coming in and I need to make room. How do I safely remove him from the frag plug?

Looks like super glue was used. You can just pull it off with a bit of force

a knife or scalpel to the base where the glue is. try to wedge the sharp end between the frag plug and the glue and slowly wedge until it snaps off. i do this to most frags i receive to avoid anything being on the plug i don't want in my tank.

Thanks guys. I don’t want to destroy or injure this guy as it was a random buy my wife made but I kinda like it.

Use a dremmel at the base of the frag.

All those methods will work. I personally use my bone cutters to snip at the base where the coral meets the glue on the plug (kind of at a 45 degree angle), and usually the coral pops right off.
