Hello everyone, I've had my duncan coral for a few months and it is growing a new head on it, however, today I noticed that the skeleton has a bunch of bumps on it. Can someone please tell me what is going on? The perameters are as follows: nitrite 0, ammonia 0, nitrate 14, phos 0, alk 7.9, ph 7.9 (always like this), ca 420, mag 1276. Thank you in advance!

most likely just some sort of sponge growth, but I cant really see it in the photo is it something like this?

Some pictures of sponge growth

Looks like some type of sponge to me as well. Can you take a soft brush and see if you can remove it? If it's easier, do it after lights out so the polyps aren't as much in the way.

Some species of sponge can be fast growing and invasive, but for the majority of them they are harmless and shows signs of maturity. Keep your eyes on it but don't be stressed over it.

Looks open and happy. Super resilient coral.
Phosphate at 0 ( if that’s correct) is not a good number, with 14 nitrate, your asking for the development of Cyano or Dino’s. It would also starve your corals.
Should be 0.05-.2ppm, in that range but stable.
MG is too low, bump that to 1350-1450ppm.
