So I placed my new Duncan frag in this location and he seemed to like it and open well. He is still opened well but it looks like maybe the flow is too much based on his position today. I didn’t think my flow was that strong. I have two vortech mp10’s on opposite sides of the 55 gallon tank, set to 50% reef crest mode during the day and 30% lagoon mode at night. Do y’all think this is to much for him or is it okay since he is opened nicely. If so, should I move him or adjust my flow? Everyone else in my tank seems quite happy. First pic is yesterday, second is today.

Duncans will do fine in high flow (atleast mine did), but they'll open up more with less flow. Mine is on the sand at the moment, but I've moved him to the middle of my rock work looking like a flag in a hurricane and was fine as well. I'd play around with positions as long as you get the light right, they are pretty hardy little buggers

I have few duncans strategically placed in various areas of the tank. In my experience they open more with lower flow.
My flow varies during the day, so those in exposed areas also have time of “slack tide” to open and catch food.
