I received one and a half heads from Doctor Fosters 2/16/2007. Now have 20 heads 1/29/2008. Amazed at the fast growth of this coral. Definetly recomend if you dont have any to pick some up.

not only nice coral growth but your camera skills/equipment has grown by quite a bit as well :)

i agree, ive had mine a little over a year and ive gone from one head to somewhere over 20

I got mine about 8 months ago. i started with two and now have over 20. I feed it though.

Duncans aren't zoanthids, they're a type of LPS. They look like a branching Euphyllia (frogspawn, hammer, torch, etc. . . ) with polyps that resemble zoas.

They'll eat pretty much anything.

Great looking growth pictures. I'm looking forward to watching mine grow over the next year. A local friend of mine got a frag from Anthony in December. A polyp fell off that frag and he traded it to me. Since then it's already grown from one head into three.

agreed...I have 2 colonies that put on heads quicker than what would seem possible

I would like to get some Duncan or whisker coral. I seen some on thatpetplace.com for $79. Is that a good place to buy one? Also, what light, flow, placement do they need?

I just found some on TEC that looked awesome. Is there somewhere I could read up on these, they are new to me?

After 20 years of reefing, I have never had a Duncan. Your 2nd picture of the large colony is so awesome, I have to get a frag, quick. I can not believe how easy they are to find. The question is are there bad ones out there?
