So I bought this Duncan last weekend. It appears to be thriving in my tank, however it came with on dead polyp (about a quarter inch at the end of on arm - on the left).

If I just leave it alone will it regrow or will I need to cut the dead bit off? And if so how??

i would cut it off if you don't know what kill it in the first place

If its dead al the way to the main branch then cut the whole thing off. If there's still some of the neon green growth on the branch then cut it off where the green on the branch meets the dead zone, doing that will probably cause it to start growing some new heads eventually from around the cut.

Agreed. Cut off only the bare part
