my 2 duncans have not opened for 2 day, or just opened a little bit. They have been in my tank for 4 days now, did try to feed some reef roid and they took it. But after that day, it closed. Other are doing fine, acan, blasto, fungia, some monti and other sps. Running ULNS, is that the reason?

What Are your parameters ??? Anything new or different happen 2 days ago? Are they new?

They are new, they just made a 48hour trip due to the storm last week. I recieved them 4 days ago. Nothing change. Parameter all under control.I noticed this just happened after reefroid feeding

That is not a feeding response-duncans don't retract into their skeleton when catching food, instead they "suck up" the water and look like stalks with balloons.

They could still be adjusting to your tank-what are your parameters?

I mean they are not happy, I fed them 2 days ago. It still open and mouth open to take food.
Salinity: 1.025
Temp:79
Nitrate, phosphate: nearly undetectable
Cal: 440
Alk: 9.2
Mag:~1360.
I dont know if to low nutrient level make them unhappy

LPS like nutrients, no phosphate no nitrate equals bad in any aquarium unless its sps dominated but even then they still like some nutrients. not sure how ULN tanks survive, don't know much about them.

ULNS and LPS usually don't go hand in hand. Parameter and temp stability are important as well. Make sure there not getting blasted with flow, moderate indirect flow will suffice.
Okay, so could be the flow. I move my power head a bit, I will try that then. Thanks

Low nutrient could be my problem too, all sps doing great even they are new.

Yesterday I met a very old buddy who used to own a lfs way before I got involved in saltwater and now is servicing & maintaining tanks in homes and he was telling me how lps eg. euphyllias would suddenly close up when he moves them to a UNLS system. He was telling me about the water parameters & GFO and I said it's pretty much irrelevant when lps is unhappy. They need "dirty" water for it's survivabilty.

Mine retract when i feed them, They love food, like me!

They should adjust to your low nutrients, it will take some time, you are going to have feed them often
