So i recently moved my duncan frag to the sand bed, and it is always open (unless touched by hermits) but its never fully extended like it used to be. Im not sure if its not extending because the lighting is TOO high at the bottom of the tank, or if its happy with the lighting so it doesnt need to extend all the way.
Anyone know? Please help thx #reefsquad

It might just be acclimating to its new location it may not seam like a big difference but moving a coral around in a tank changes the amount of light and flow that it is receiving also pics would help

Srry the pics are blurry used a camera and not a phone or smth. So yeah i used to have the duncan beside the torch but away a bit.( Also can anyone ID the torch? its tentacles are kinda small, purple with green tip)

mine done the same I moved it down a few inches and in less flow I think it didn't like the new flow. Took about 3-4 days to open again

So it had less flow or more flow? Cuz mine has pretty high flow right now

It doesn’t look bad in the photos. I would give it a few days and see how it reacts.
mine havebeen pretty hardy. If prams are ok, it should bounce back within a few days.

good luck and happy reefing!
