Tentacle length and girth is dictated by flow and water quality.

I keep mine down low and it gets decent floor, not a ton. I've got a rw8wave maker on its lowest setting in a 25g cube

The new pic definitely looks like a duncan. It looks like it is opening up more so it might be fine where you have it. I have mine on the sand slightly under a rock, but my lighting is pretty intense so I keep a few of my LPS a little shaded. Mine also has indirect flow.

I second the growth! Mine started with 2 heads and in about 7 months it's close to 15. I feed it mysis 2 times a week. Picture is about

I keep my duncans in the middle of the tank. I would consider it to be medium light with random flow. started with 2 heads and now its up to about 20. IMHO water quality is more important than light and flow.

Are they typically closed or open at night? Because mine mostly closed when the lights went off.

Got my big coral pack in the mail today. I was wondering if my Duncan was too close to these other corals?

I just finished getting them arranged, so he's a little unhappy with being jostled still.

I keep my Duncan by my Acans in the sandbed and they seem pretty happy. I'm thinking about moving it because its tentacles are goofy long but it's happy, so I dunno.
