Duncan ripped apart

Hey. I was feeding my duncan coral some mysis shrimp. Then I went to feed my goldfish. When I came back, the pistol shrimp was tearing one of my duncan’s heads apart to get the piece of mysis inside. Half of the head is gone. The other two are fine. Will this one be okay? I moved the Duncan frag to a higher rock away from the pistol shrimp.

50 50 chance on that. I always tried to give my shrimp some food first. Had him for years. He used to take frags for building material. But never tore one apart.

Thanks. I spotted him some mysis beforehand, but I guess he was still hungry. Greedy little thing. I always feed corals last.

Hi! I just got home from school. The head that was ripped in half is doing great. Looks weird, but seems fine. It actually has a new head growing already.

Duncan's are pretty resilient. That should grow back just fine.

You could add Brightwell Restor which will assure healing
