Should i be concerned if one of my duncans skeleton no longer has a neon green shine. The first duncan i had got some algae growth on the skeleton a few months ago. The single polpy is still extending big. But the skeleton has now lost the green. Its still inflating big. Params 1.026 sal 420 calc 8.0 dkh 1320 mag 1ppm nitrate .03 phos.

Seams normal looking to me, I still see the skeleton completely green except where it was fragged.
this is a pic from maybe 3 months ago, the new ones skeleton is greyish tanish. My other duncan is doing great growing new heads, but pretty sure there are different kinds of duncans

OK little confused, the Duncan above is not the one in question and the picture is 3 months old. You have 2 duncans both with different color bases and both are doing good. What's the issue?

I had a duncan with issues similar to what you described I think. The skeleton was green, but became encrusted with purplish-brown slime. Coral still did great, however, and now has like 10 heads.
