Hi Everyone,

I have a small Duncan with 3 heads and 5 or 6 small heads starting to poke out. When I fist got it, the color was a very deep teal. A few weeks ago, my larger clown started to host it. Since then, the duncan only extends about half as far and has turned very white. The heads all appear to be healthy still and the small heads seem to be growing. Is the coral still healthy and will it be able to survive this abuse long term? I also have a hammer and a large toadstool but the clown consistently prefers the duncan and spends more than half the day around it.

If it’s receding like that, it probably won’t survive long term. They are relatively hardy corals though, so it should recover if the clown changes it’s mind.

I find that if I move what a clown is hosting, often times they will move on to something else.
