So, I acquired my first Duncan frag about two weeks ago. I've been target feeding a mix of reef chili, fertility diet, and some other frozen mix that I forgot the name of.

I just wanted to poll some of the LPS gurus and see if they target feed or just let them pull from the water column.

I would love to hear your opinions on the topic!

Here is my frag.

Sweet, the aforementioned target feeding I did is a once, maybe twice per week thing I do for the LPS' in my tank and the fish get a little surprise too.

I've got some hatchery diet pellets, maybe I could move my feeding ring over the top of it so it'll get a little pellet action lol.

This was 2 heads 2 years ago. I have done both target feeding and let it fend for its self. I do see a faster growth when I target feed it though. They are very cool to watch when you feed them too

Very impressive @kenandmoose !

BTW, Coral Frenzy .5 mm pellets work pretty good for target feeding. I have found that they are small enough for most LPS (and some SPS) and work nicely if your using a pipette to feed with. I'm not sure they create any special feeding response like the powder does but coral seem to like them just fine.

I'll keep that in mind Centerline. Thanks

Hi Chad, Try to get some more of your Oyster Feast at the Fantastic in Jensen Beach FL please. Always out , I always ask. Still haven't been able to try it yet.

Have you also tried St. Lucie Aquatics? I would suggest doing a pre-order with your LFS. It's just like preordering corals or fish; people do it all the time. I'm sure Fintastic would work with you on that.

Are you going to be at ReefAPalooza Orlando next weekend? We have a double booth and will have plenty of free samples on hand. If you get there early enough, I would be more than happy to give you a free bottle.

Reef nutrition is so great

you've seen that one online article where they measured roti pods in a good study with controls etc, it was for pocillopora growth rates and roti feast was tops I think. reef nutrition roti pods alone ran my reef for two years straight I went back to cyclopeeze for no particular reason, lfs out of rp mainly.

Yes, but I can't go until Sunday. I'll be there for opening doors Sunday for sure and taking a cooler too. In the future I'll call my LFS and pre-order. Didn't even know St.Lucie aquatics existed (thanks)but I'll check them out sometime too, not too much further for me.

Just introduce yourself to me and tell me that you are the guy from reef2reef that has issues getting our products from Fintastic. See you there!
