Hey everyone! Transferee my Duncan's to my new tank about a week ago! Prior to transfer they were doing great! I dipped them in coral RX and took the necessary acclimation procedures. Ammo 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 5 PH 8 KH 8 calcium 440 and no detectable phosphates. They have retracted into their skeleton only opening partially and there's a few small "things" on the skeleton you can see in the pics. They seem to be doing better but not 100%. Any ideas?

I have found that my Duncans like the alk a little higher in my tank. They open the best around 9.0 dkh, anything below and they close up slightly to completely.

Good luck with yours! :)

Thanks for the reply! Any idea what they stuff is on the skeleton?

Not really… I have asterina stars scoot around on mine from time to time though. Doesn't seem like they cause any problems so far. Might need a clearer pic to figure out whats on yours.

Hmm, well that's the best pic I can get. Almost looks like a slime. I know when I dipped it in coral RX it was my first time ever using
The product and the Duncan's slimed up like CRAZY! Not sure if that's supposed to happen, maybe the product was killing something bad?

My duncan really responds to the addition of red seas reef energy. It started looking a little sick but when I started to use reef energy it bounced back quick.
