Dunxan frag help

Bought a duncan frag online recently. When I first put it in it stayed closed for about a day then it opened up. But now everyday it's been about a week or 2 at night it opens up fully but when the lights go on they almost close up fully. The light is an ai prime the coral is about half way up the tank. Idk if maybe the light is too much and I should attempt to move the coral? There is decent flow not a ton and waTer parameters are fine. Do I need to wait and let it get more accustomed?

Not home to check it now but 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 5ish nitrates last night.

API kit isn't going to cut it when it comes to keeping coral. Need nitrate, phosphate, alkalinity, calcium and magnesium for coral that are considered LPS

Been meaning to get a better test kit from LFS just haven't had time. Any suggestions for a good kit I could order on Amazon? But I use rodi water with reef crystals and do a hefty water change every week so figured numbers should be ok. Just thought it was weird that it only opens up at night and closes up when the light is on.
