Dupla co2 gear usable for calcium reactor?

hi all,

looking into returning to reefing and wondering if the Dupla Co2 regulator and solenoid from 2013 (used for 3 years on a planted tank) can still be serviceable and usable for a calcium reactor?

It always seemed like a very high quality piece of euqipment

I assume I can buy a calcium reactor and hook it up to a ph controller (or apex ph monitor) to control the co2?

Is there automation for managing the amount of effluent as well to limit over dosing the tank with effluent?

Not particular familiar with this brand but from the look of it, it's prob a single stage regulator. It's usable.. just hook it up and test it out. There are definitely better options out there. The solenoid should b control by a pH monitor or apex. As far as automation I don't c how it can be done.. but u can add a line in the Apex to give u a warning if pH levels are below a certain level n even turn off the solenoid.. but if u have the calc reactor setup properly with the right equipment it should be consistent; a set n forget equipment.

Sure, why not. I used a much older Dupla regulator than that (from my years keeping planted tanks) for many years. Mine was from 1987 and dual stage. Eventually the solenoid failed.

Thanks yes I believe the one above is dual stage.

solenoids fail ‘off’ so what is the best way of managing that risk? Have dry dosing on hand or a spare solenoid?
