We have our mixing station in our basement with a Reeflo Hammerhead 6000 GPH pump plumbed up to our laundry room, we need about 40 ft of 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" hose/tubing to transfer water from laundry room to our fish room, we have been using 1 1/2" corrugated pond tubing from Home Depot it only lasted about 6 months and it now leaks profusely. does anyone have any suggestions on good quality hosing/tubing for this application?

What your looking for is clear Braided hose. I know several local stores that carry it but I live in Minnesota.... you can order it on brs but its about 3x as expensive.

Thanks ill try to find some of that locally

Black food grade rubber hose. I went w clear like everyone does at first but the clear promotes algae growth and had to replace within a year. I went to our local plumbing store and that was recommended. Its a little heaver than radiator hose but its made specifically for food grade. Its on my wife's seahorse tank and haven't had a problem what so ever. Strongly recomend

Not a fan of flexible vinyl hose for such applications. Try spa flex, aka flexible PVC.
