Heya folks I have a durso drain on my main display which feeds off onto my Fuge the bubbles get kinda crazy is there a way I can mod it so there isn't any bubbles or at least not that much?

Can you show us pictures of the top and bottom of your setup? If you drain pulls water from below the surface and empties water below the surface on the bottom then the bubbles would likely be minimal.

Two thoughts....

1. Vent hole might be too large. The smaller the hole, the less air that is drawn in. You do need a hole or you'll get a full siphon, which you don't want.

2, If you have the room in your sump, install a reverse durso. There are a couple different designs, but here's what worked for me:

And here it is installed:

it also spits off into DT2 that gets the worst part of the bubbles.

I added a T and put a pipe going up hoping that most of the bubbles for DT2 would go up the pipe and out but I still get a ton in the tank.

I like your thought on the vent hole may be too big I can install a small air valve in there that way I can dial in the right amount

dang yeah i need a different valve, even with the air valve fully open it creates a full siphon then i get the good ol toilet flush. i had thoughts of changing it to a herbie but i can't fit a third hole in the bottom of the weir
