So I finally got my 60 cube set up and like I was afraid of the durso on it is so loud. It was quiet when I picked it up over the weekend so I dont know what is different. Any tips? Ive tried putting a restrictor over the air hole and it either doesnt change or goes full siphon. Should I try enlarging it? The last durso had holes drilled in the side is that normal should I try that? Also what should the water level be in relation to the durso pipe? Last option is place a shut off valve before the sump so slow it down some

Raise your durso pipe close to the top so your water doesn't drop down like a water fall. Also, reduce your return pump flow. Reduce using a valve at the "output" of the pump. This should reduce water noise.

Im running a sicce 2.0 and I turned it all the way down and that helped a bit. Im trying a reverse durso on the end tonight to see what that does

I could never get durso as quiet as I wanted and I ended up using stockman instead. I can vouch for how quiet it is!

Well my reverse durso didn't help much. Next I guess Ill try the stockman, anyone have good pictures of one? Cant seem to find really good instructions like how high to make it compared to the water level

Water level will go about half way up to the rubber gasket. You can control the height in overflow box by adjusting air valve
