Durso Overflow Plumbing Issue?

So I have (2) 1.5" Durso Style Drains

1 seems to be working fine and the other seems to have air stuck in the pipe. I'm not sure why as they are both the same.

The only thing I can think of is that the pipe might be too far below the water line in my sump.

I took the caps off the Durso in the video so you can see the problem.

Any assistance would be great.

Try taking the ends of them out of the water in your sump, curious if that has any effect. When my emergency OF pipe was submerged in the sump it wouldn't drain, but once it was out of the water it drained fine.

Can you get a picture of side of overflow (in addition to the top angle shown in the video). Where is the water level compared to the horizontal middle of the "u"? Is there a small hole on the side of the upside down "u"?

I have always used Durso drains and have found that if you put a PVC "T" fitting on the end in the sump so that the "leg" of the T is just above the surface it will allow the air to escape. This will reduce noise and splashing and may very well help your problem.

Don't submerge the "emergency" drain. You want to hear the water when it is working because this alerts you to the fact that is is working and that you need to check/adjust the main drain flow.

Question, if you have two drains why arent you running a Herbie style instead of two durso?
