Durso plumbing question (Help)

Hello,

I have a 180g display with a durso return.
My return is 1 inch pvc. My drain is 1.5 inch.
The max flow I can get through my return is about 720gph before I get the "toilet bowl flush" effect.

I am trying to tie my uv into my return but to have my uv be effective, I need to run at least 1015gph.

How can I get my durso to accept a higher flow without the toilet bowl flushing?

The max a 1" open pipe will flow with gravity (drain) is about 900gph. The durso will make it even slower.

You could add a siphon overflow for more drainage.

How big of a hole did you drill on the durso pipe iteslf?

I am trying to remember. It's lager than airline ro/di tubing though.
