Throughout the day, I occasionally see dust or debris shoot out of my TBS live rock. Anyone else have this happen?

I know there's at least one Eunice worm in there somewhere. Do they bore into the LR and spit out rock debris? Spaghetti worms do this? Worms in general?

Always looking at these lovely rocks wondering what kind of nightmare creatures are living within.

Can you tell what holes they are coming from/ the size? Any clicking noises like it might be a pistol shrimp?

Iv had this too , I know I have a pistol and maybe a Eunice worm

Multiple locations! Sometimes I see it shooting up from the back of the tank, sometimes from the front/sides. Hard to pinpoint exactly which hole it comes from. This is recently received rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater. Gorgeous rock. Very porous. Interesting hitchhikers. But yeah, definitely at least one Eunice worm...

And I do think there might be a pistol, but I don't hear any clicking. I have a Randall's pistol in my other that never clicks either, though.

It could be anything or multiple things. You probably just don't want to know honestly

My guess: multiple things. Agreed, I probably don't want to know!

But for the Eunice worm, I think it's a few inches long, and I've seen it picking at the rock, so maybe a detritovore, but who knows. I might delay my tailspot blenny and firefish until I can capture it

I think you would hear a pistol shrimp it's probably the eunicid also I would remove that if you can before it becomes nightmare fuel

If you know which rock sump it

little for now...
My thought right now is to try a bottle trap with a tube pointed right at his hole and the bait inside of panty hose (I understand that gets them tangled up) placed in the bottle. Bets on if it works!??
