Dust like parts in water?

Hi all, need some help.

Tank is around 5 months old and I’m still getting all this dust like stuff floating around in the water and can’t get it to stop after water changes on water changes.. running the clarisea filter roller aswell I’m stuck to why it’s constantly like this.

Hmm strange. yeah I’m currently dosing magnesium, calcium and KH buffer from aqua forest.

Without video was just swag but I thought sand since they said dust like precipitation usually looks more like flakes.

Yeah I have, I’ve got 1x blue cheek goby, sand sifting star fish. I’ve cleaned the sand bed out a good few times when doing a water change to take all the nasty small particles out but it doesn’t help.

Don't clean the sand or you may end up starving the sand sifting sea star.

Even with a flocculant you probably will always have this. Sand is continually mechanically milled into fine particles. Totally normal.

With the dosing, try to split your doses to as many small doses as practical throughout the day- and don't dose your calcium / alkalinity / magnesium at the same time.

I can't see that should be your main issue though- this appear only when dosing and usually goes away again shortly after.

Running a auto Doser, above is my schedule.

Video works now. Too dark to tell really but if it’s there all the time I’m still guessing particulate. It will get better with age if that’s what it is, but you will always have some.

I would change the interval to 10 minutes Might not solve the issue that you have, but it will definetly ensure you have no precipitation from your additives. Eliminate one possible source..

200L, I’m dosing the aquaforst stuff so I’m mixing it in to RODI as a solution then dosing it. I’m still very new to dosing but at these numbers it’s keeping it stable.

Have you used aquaforest life source in the tank?
