Not my first tank btw. just my current one.
so, this tank has been up and down several times due to personal changes and moving and such. but now its up and im in a place where I can keep it up and be stable. so I figured id make a build thread for it. ill do my best to track progress on here for it.
the start. I built my stand out of 2x4s, 1 inch plywood, and decking screws. this thing is solid. its built to fit a 75 so I had plenty of room for the sump, plumbing and room to expand if I decided to.
got my rock together, decided to go bare bottom. that made getting a good rockscape a little harder but I finally got it!
got all the plumbing hooked up, filled the tank and flipped on the lights. ive had these lights for about 2 years now. never had an issue.
got my first coral and fish on august 15th for my birthday: duncans, hammer, and a starry blenny. The hammer was free, he damaged it while fragging and im still not sure if its ever going to fully recover.
9/11 I moved the tank to the new house and that wasn't fun. so got to my new house and realized my psi was way to low to make a decent amount of rodi quick enough... my solution? hook my prefilters up to the fridge and use the fridges ro membrane!
got the tank set back up. still don't like the rock scape. itll get changed eventually. but the fish and coral are doing great.
duncans are growing like crazy!
ill add more as I do more to the tank. itll be a few weeks before anything else gets added. I want to let the tank finish settling after the move first.
