What's this messy Dusty debris on my monticap? . There some on my elegance too. On it's bottom half area

Recently my monticap has been taking it's space back over, since the dust had covered almost half the frag.

Opinions on my two birdsnests too? On one the tip is the only thing that looks normal, on the other the tip looks abnormal. Gha?

Cant tell from the pics. Try to take some more in focus and with white light instead of blue. How's your flow? Could be ditritus settling if flow is too low or fine sand dust if flowmis high and moving around the sand.

Yeah last pic is for sure a dieing birdsnest, RTN or STN. And now that I look better I am seeing it on all but the elegance but even that does not look happy at all. Yes please share your lighting, flow, water parameters, tank info like size age info on the rock you used.
To try and save the sps cut away the dead and only save healthy flesh, glue to a frag disc or piece of rubble.

On the monti, mines look like that when the phosphates increase to higher levels

I have the same thing on some of my corals. Definitely something new

Ive noticed the same thing on some of my SPS. It occurs even in higher flow areas like the tips. I cleaned off some and there were clear tiny bristle type worms in the debris. I think they are secreting something to form the debris or I dunno but it's definitely not good for the corals

the debris is slowly reducing.. coral taking back up its space for my monti. today I saw some worm like things on the debris too, but I think it was just hermit crab waste.. pretty sure hes eating that stuff up.
